Free Pattern: Small Plant Hanger

I'm proud of myself for finally keeping an orchid alive. My cats, however, think my beautiful source of confidence is a nice snack. Though I want to hang the orchid out of their reach, store-bought plant hangers seem overpriced for my taste. Of course, I reach for my crochet hook and some natural jute twine.
Unfortunately, I don't have the time to provide a pattern for multiple sizes, but you can be sure there will be some following soon. From orchids to Oxalis, use this pattern to keep your potted plants out of reach of pets and little ones, make some table space, or get your plants closer to (or farther from) a source of light.
This hanger is designed for a 1.25 pt pot. Finished size is about 4" across, 24" tall, including straps and loop.

Materials:
3-ply Jute (or similar) twine; natural or colored
Crochet hook size K/101/2 (6.5mm) or size needed to obtain gauge
Smaller hook to weave in ends
*note* a tapestry needle will be difficult to use with rough-textured, thicker twine, therefor a smaller hook is ideal for weaving in ends.

*note* This "round" works a little out of the round. To explain, for beginners: You will begin by working a chain away from the body of the main pattern (ch 31). Then a row of single crochet will be worked up the chain, back towards the body. You will then continue along the body with a border of slip stitches and chains, until the repeat. The result will produce the 4 straps and the border in the same round.

*Ch 31. 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in next 29 sts of ch. Sl st into same st as beg of ch. (Ch 1, sl st) in next 10 sts of body. Sl st into next st.* Repeat from * to * 3 more times. Join with a sl st to beg sl st. Bind off, weave in ends.

Finishing:
Turn right-side out.
Begin with a sl st around the post of the last st in a strap (for beginners, basically, sl st in the last "hole" of a strap).  Ch 1 (counts as 1 sc), 2 sc in same st. Ch 3. 3 sc around end post of next strap. Ch 3. Repeat for 2 remaining straps. Join with a sl st to beg ch-1. (12 sc, 4 ch-3 sps)
